90 Fire Halt Sealant Setting Compound
A fireproofing
sealant that is easy to use and inexpensive. Simply add water and you're ready to seal walls
around all kinds of pipes, conduits, beams and ducts in all your fire-rated assemblies. No
mineral wool is needed so you save time and aggravation.
Fire Halt is also resistant
to passage of smoke and airborne sound. It may be used in assemblies designated as "Smoke
Barriers" or those required to meet a sound attenuation or STC rating.
Fire Halt
contains special glass fiber filaments to improve crack resistance and bulking characteristics,
and is tinted a reddish color to help Building Officials and Fire Marshalls distinguish it
from normal joint treatment products. |

The seal penetrations in fire-rated
assemblies, use a finishing knife to force a generous amount of Fire Halt into the opening.
Remove excess and smooth flush with the surface of the gypsum board. |
